As the New Balance 550 crosses out more conservative colorways with each new season’s offerings, the shoe has started to get more creative with its new versions. That tracks for recent announcements like the New Balance 550 “Patent Leather Pack” and for this very latest one, where animal print hits two pairs of low-cut kicks.
While the cheetah/leopard print that marks the “N” branding, heel cup and a slight slice in between is a novel addition enough, it’s worthy of mention that NB didn’t call it quits there. The tan and black pattern is complemented in the entirety of both shoes, with harmonious hues of gum, beige, black a constant through line.
Zooming out, with animal print utilized here in at least a faux-luxury fashion, that plush atmosphere is mirrored in the construction of these, with suede adorning the uppers of the typically leather 650s.
The New Balance 550 “Leopard Pack” are expected to drop alongside one another in full women’s sizing. Anticipate a rollout to retailers and NewBalance.com in the coming weeks, carrying a retail price around $150.
