Considering the constant emphasis on innovation in the Nike catalog, the fact that Flyknit, first introduced in 2012, has somewhat fallen out of favor shouldn’t be a total shock. However, even if it’s not the primary focus in 2024, it’s not entirely forgotten, the stretchy fiber material still cropping up plenty in new Swoosh offerings. Cue the Nike Flyknit Bloom, one of the latest to take on that formula.

The true intrigue for the model is its embrace of layered construction, choosing to eschew the one-piece upper of previous lightweight silhouettes like the Flyknit Racer or Space Hippie series. piping carves out a semicircle section towards the quarter and synthetic stripes set apart the laces. Setting these even further apart, a maximalist chunky midsole lands underfoot, almost venturing into platform territory as it widens from forefoot to heel. As for the colorway, the mix of “Platinum Violet,” “Taupe Grey” and “Particle Grey” creates an equally neutral and rosy palette, grounded in its greyscale sections yet still overridingly vibrant.

The Nike Flyknit Bloom “Platinum Violet” is set to arrive in April, a $150 price tag set for this women’s release. Enjoy official photos just ahead.

Transitioning to the Jordan Release Dates 2024 front, the Air Jordan 4 “Vivid Sulfur” makes its debut this weekend.
