The New Balance 1500 Made In England Appears In “Green Oasis”

Seasons change for the UK staple.

The New Balance 1500 Made In England Appears In “Green Oasis”

While models like the New Balance 550 and New Balance 9060 have captivated stateside consumers, nothing is knocking the New Balance 1500 off its perch in the EU and UK. Its latest configuration spotlights “Green Oasis” on textured suede atop familiar underpinnings.

Though the long-hair suede that bears the titular shade is the most eye-grabbing, taken as a whole this is a rather conservative way of adding pop to the silhouette. Put differently, the black/grey combo that paints the leather and mesh underneath is one we’ve seen plenty of times. A faux-aged midsole underfoot is also familiar sight, but the layered construction of the 1500’s sole unit allows for more intricate detail than on other models. Multiple off-white shades blend together alongside a half-and-half swatch that continues the greyscale shades from up top. Generally speaking, the addition of “Green Oasis” suede definitely adds some needed brightness to the typically conservative New Balance 1500, presenting an on-season look for the ever-popular silhouette.

The New Balance 1500 “Green Oasis” drops May 9th in the EU. A stateside release is anticipated, but a date hasn’t been confirmed.

Staying with NB, the Joe Freshgoods New Balance 1000 continues its rollout with a wide release April 19th.
