The Nike Air Force 1 Splits Between “Light Iron Ore” & “Gym Red”

The eye-catching layout drops this Summer.

The Nike Air Force 1 Splits Between “Light Iron Ore” & “Gym Red”

Decades of defining street style make it hard to argue with the Nike Air Force 1. Over their four decades on the market, Beaverton creatives have taken every manner of swing with the silhouette, rolling out looks totally experimental and entirely conservative. Somewhere in the middle lives the Nike Air Force 1 “Light Iron Ore,” the newest addition to the Swoosh summer slate.

The Bulls adjacent white, red and gray featured here isn’t a new development for Nike, but the layout of those colors does feel somewhat novel. Rather than the typical above/below split, “Gym Red” paints the forefoot overlay, Swoosh and heel cup. “Light Iron Ore” is instead left to the eyestays, rear overlay and muted accents throughout. Departing from the traditional formula makes the rosy shade pop even more, some necessary spice for a silhouette we’re all overly familiar with by now.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Light Iron Ore” is expected to drop in the coming weeks, commanding a $135 retail price.

In more high-profile Swoosh news, the Jordan Jumpman Jack debuts the new signature Travis Scott shoes on April 30th.
