Get ready for more New Balance 1500 releases; the model stands to play a big role in the brand’s “Made In England” 2024 lineup in celebration of its 35th anniversary. We already covered a Grey New Balance 1500 and upcoming “Green Oasis” and “Blood Orange” pairs, and now an essential navy blue colorway joins in on the festivities.
As is typical for silhouettes celebrating big milestones, the New Balance 1500 adopts a tried-and-true look here with buttery navy suede overlays and a matching mesh base. Save for greyed-out footwear notably called upon for “Grey Day” releases, navy applications present as some of the most iconic and recognizable looks in the Boston brand’s arsenal. Such treatments are mainstays in the brand’s “Made In” collections, especially cuts from the 990 series and New Balance 992, New Balance 993, etc.
Grey hits on the tongue, collar, and lining make for a balanced palette up top on this look, matched by grey leather on the forefoot and more accents on the midsole. Given its essential makeup and the somewhat limited nature of New Balance 1500 releases in recent memory, the shoe makes for an agreeable pick-up for New Balance heads fond of heritage-packed footwear.
Pairs are available now overseas, but no word on a stateside drop date has been mentioned at the time of this writing. Tap our Sneaker Release Dates page for all the lates updates over the coming months.
Circling back to another essential New Balance look, check out upcoming Grey Day New Balance footwear dropping on May 15th.
