Andrew Rizzo The ASICS GT-2160 presents as a great pick-up for all those looking to “buy in” on the hype surrounding ASICS and tech runners at large. It delivers the same aesthetic as prized models like the GEL-Kayano 14 but for a more reasonable MSRP of $120. What’s more is that ASICS has surfaced a storm of new colorways in recent months, now including this new “Black/Silver/Pink/Blue” arrangement.
Compared to other new and upcoming pairs, this installment differs slightly with delicate blue treatments on the forefoot, midsole, and laces, a choice that’s almost invisible against the shoe’s black base. Pink accents on the overlays produce a “Cotton Candy” palette when married with the blue shade, and chromatic silver leather touches every area of the upper in a familiar display. Underfoot, a white midsole works in black, blue, and pink hits to reflect the palette above.
