The Palomo x PUMA Nitefox Sneaker Loafer Also Drops In Teak Brown

With the footwear industry and fashion world becoming increasing intertwined, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the cutting edge designs we so freely associate with the latter would begin creeping into the former. One of the strongest trends to that point is the emergence of the “sneaker loafer,” already well explored with models like the New Balance 1906L expected later this year. PUMA is the latest brand to get in on the action, unveiling the Nitefox Sneaker Loaf with the help of Spain’s Palomo.

Yesterday, we previewed the debut Palomo x PUMA Nitefox Leather Loafer, a comprehensive off-white treatment. Much of that shoe’s construction is intact here, matching the maximalist Nitefox sole unit with a traditional loafer upper, replete with multi-layered panelling and a split strap closure. The blend of burnt sienna shading, suede hardware and the feathered panel that sits under the buckle also imbues mocassin DNA in this colorway, an additional vertical tossed into this hybrid formulation. It’s a shoe that speaks to true contrast, blending athletic function with dressy aesthetic appeal in one wonky, off-kilter shoe.

The Palomo x PUMA Nitefox Sneaker Loafer “Teak Brown” releases via PUMA channels on May 11th at midnight, retailing for $180. The leather counterpart, a collab PUMA Suede and apparel collection will all be available at the same time.
