That’s not to say aesthetics aren’t important any longer, but in the wake of the pandemic, consumer trends have elucidated a new emphasis on comfort and utility. Arguably Beaverton’s best answer to those buyer habits is the Nike ACG Air Moc, a cult classic style revived in 2022.

Here drenched in classic navy & white, the shoe is a far cry from the wonky 90s styles that introduced the silhouette three decades ago. Instead, an easily-worn outfit is prioritized, equally suited for its original trail purpose and for a quick errand run. The canvas construction on the upper dovetails well into that new purpose as well. Over the course of the model’s past few releases, that hardware change has become almost the default composition, more frequently reached for than suede, quilted and croc-skin switch ups recently introduced.
