Nike Is Bringing Back This CO.JP Dunk Low From 1999

A Japan exclusive is ready for a global launch.

Nike Is Bringing Back This CO.JP Dunk Low From 1999

The massive influx of Dunk colorways over the last few years has made it quite difficult to distinguish one from another, and the fallout from this mass production has been an absolute exodus of the fanbase. Dunks are now sitting on shelves, but it’s not the first time that’s happened for the 1985 classic, leading us to wonder if the culture can make magic once again somewhere down the line. Still, despite the oversaturation, Nike still manages to keep our interests piqued, because this 1999 classic release that only dropped in Japan is coming back sometime this Summer/Fall 2024.

The Nike Dunk Low Retro, the series of true-to-OG two-toned color-blocked iterations, appears in a navy and red colorway reminiscent of the CO.JP City Attack specials. If you can recall, the Japan-exclusive City Attack Dunks featured pairings of Dunks blocked in opposing arrangement, with this navy/red duet hitting the Dunk Low. The only difference between these and the ’99 joins is the tongue label, which has the colors flipped, and the white insole.

For any Dunk fans who appreciate the history, this upcoming release is a certain sleeper hit. Grab them on Nike.com and select retailers soon for $115.
