The Nike Air Max Dn Gets Chromed Out For Fall 2024

Close to a "Silver Bullet" colorway, but not exactly.

The Nike Air Max Dn Gets Chromed Out For Fall 2024

It’s been relatively quiet on the Air Max Dn front since Air Max Day, but slowly but surely, new looks keep making their way to market.

While the shoe’s rollout has been marked by a variety of essential, simple treatments thus far, the path that lies ahead could see a more steadfast embrace of classic Air Max colorways, particularly those known on models similar to the Air Max Dn in design language. We’ve yet to see that happen, save for a Supreme x Air Max Dn “Silver Bullet” collaboration, but this latest mainline colorway comes close. It features a “Metallic Silver” base and “Chrome” treatments above the midsole, evoking “Silver Bullet” aesthetics somewhat but not entirely.

The main detractor from a “Silver Bullet” namesake here is the shoe’s lack of a red mini Swoosh, a choice that could have been easily executed if the Nike design team did in fact have said inspiration in mind. While the color red makes a brief cameo on the outsole, such is standard for the Dn in its short lived history.

With those comparisons put to rest, another point of discourse presents on the branding. All Air Max Dn colorways to date have featured sans serif logos on the tongue, heels, and insoles, but this pair boasts a somewhat digital font. Perhaps it’s a one-off choice, or perhaps Nike’s already dropped its old Dn logo in favor of new iconography. It’s probably an inconsequential change for most consumers, but noteworthy nonetheless.

Enjoy official retailer images of Air Max Dn “Chrome/Metallic Silver” below and look for pairs on shelves in Fall 2024 for $160. Steering focus to another upcoming colorway, check out the Air Max Dn “Persian Violet.”
