Take a look at the ASICS website and you’ll find that all but a few colorways are completely sold out, and if you’re scouring the secondary market, you’ll likely see mainline GEL-Kayano 14s selling for above retail. Both of those truths stem from the focus and consistency of the ASICS design team, who have placed the GEL-Kayano 14 at the forefront of the ongoing tech-runner trend through a masterful slate of in-house colorways like this latest “Metallic Pastel” pair.
Y2K aesthetics are matched perfectly with a contemporary, pastel palette here, immediately conjuring a “must have” for devotees of the GEL-Kayano 14. Purple and silver overlays come with metallic finishes, while a cream mesh base provides a familiar yet sophisticated backdrop for the rest of the upper to work off. A tan midsole with brown-tinted GEL capsules interrupts the palette underfoot, complete with purple/blue tread to round out the upcoming delivery.
