An enduring staple of streetwear, the Nike Air Force 1 Low is getting experimental with its latest look. Special edition touches elevate the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Neutral Olive” far above its general release competitors.
In broad strokes, the base of this shoe is relatively standard- an earthy blend of “Neutral Olive” and “Dark Army” suede graces the full upper, while midnight black encompasses the sole. Even though those sections make up the vast majority of the real estate on this pair, it’s the finer details that make this such an interesting release.
The toe-box perforations disappear entirely, replaced inset stones and gems laid out in a sun-like arrangement. Those bedazzled features dot across the full profile, rounding out at the heel tag, where the other thematic tie comes into play. Rather than typical Nike branding, “AF1” is spelled out in gothic typeface, mirrored on the tongue tag and insole. As a final touch, photos of the actual shoe arrived alongside shots of the packaging, depicting an ocean landscape. It’s hard to craft a narrative that ties all these details together at this early stage, but this pair boasts more special edition touches than any GR we’ve seen in recent memory.
A concrete date and retail price evade us at the time of writing, but we can confirm this is a women’s release. Get a closer look in the meantime via the official photos embedded below.
