Proenza Schouler Puffs Up The Vans Slip-On For First-Ever Collaboration

SoCal cool meets urban sophistication with the Proenza Schouler x Vans Slip-On. The NYC-based womenswear label’s first ever sneaker collaboration delivers three contemporary colorways, all of which feature premium leather and puffed-out padding.

Skate and high fashion design language are happily married here, as the Vans Slip-On gets noticeably re-worked without straying too far from its traditional appearance. Premium leather encompasses the upper of each shoe, taken in Black, Ecru (white), and Resin across three separate pairs. Glossed sidewalls and custom Proenza Schouler footbeds carry the collection’s elevated ethos even further, but even still, the most notable highlight pertains to the added cushioning that stuffs the entire upper of each shoe.

The oversized shoe trend has been alive and well for a good number of years now and has been more than kind to Vans, which captures it well through the modern success of the Vans Knu Skool among other cuts. This latest collab only serves to add more fuel to that fire.

The Proenza Schouler x Vans Slip-On ($200) is available now in unisex sizes in Black and Ecru on otw.vans.com and proenzaschouler.com. The Resin colorway is available exclusively at proenzaschouler.com and the Proenza Schouler Flagship Store at 121 Greene Street in NYC. See detailed images of all three pairs below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page for more.
