The Air Force 1 Joins Nike’s Olympic “Gold Script” Collection

Nike’s footwear lineup surrounding this year’s Olympic Games is one of the most well-rounded we’ve ever seen. Several lifestyle, basketball, skate, and running models have surfaced in “Olympic” makeup in recent months, and now as we all suspected, the Air Force 1 clocks in for the occasion.

The news hardly comes as a surprise; Nike tends to release an “Olympic” Air Force 1 every four years in lockstep with the international competition. This year’s pair joins a growing collection of lifestyle classics under a common “Gold Script” theme, defined by metallic gold Nike branding on the tongue and a white/navy base.

The palette lands in an understated manner here, but closer inspection reveals thoughtful material and detail considerations. The shoe’s white leather base delivers a subtle, pebbled texture, and gold “Nike Air” heel branding appears debossed within its navy host panel. Moreover, like many “Next Nature” AF1s, speckled accents adorn a “Sail” midsole underfoot.

Expect a July 2024 release for $115 as the Paris Olympics creep closer, and find up-to-date information via our Sneaker Release Dates page while we flush out firm drop details.
