Cotton Candy Notes Hit Nike Air Max 97 Futura

The women's exclusive drops this Summer/Fall.

Cotton Candy Notes Hit Nike Air Max 97 Futura

In the past year and change, a few offshoot categories have emerged amongst the Nike Air Max Family. On one side, the Nike Air Max Plus Drift and Air Max 90 Drift present TPU-heavy upgrades to those classic silos, and on the other, the Air Max 90 Futura and Air Max 97 Futura bring futuristic design language for refreshed women’s only silhouettes. The latest look for the latter embraces pastel notes of “Guava Ice” & “Glacier Blue.”

In broad strokes, the most iconic aspects of the AM97 proper remain here: half-length Air Max unit, wavy side panels and two pull tabs. But the end product on display here is a totally different proposition, boasting a much higher overall profile and far more techy details throughout. Nonetheless, Air Max 97 Futura is supported by softer hues in this edition, stepping from a platinum white lace unit and sockliner to wavy mesh in peach. Steely mauve suede is up next, before a leather overlay at the quarter closes out the faux-gradient. Aged off-white on the mid and outsole finishes this in trendy fashion, a perfectly weather appropriate opportunity to get in on one of the freshest Air Max silhouettes.

The Nike Air Max 97 Futura “Guava Ice” will hit shelves in the coming weeks, arriving in women’s sizing with a $180 retail price. Get a better sense of this release via official images ahead.

Sticking with the Swoosh, the Nike KD 17 “Producer Pack” and Nike Dunk Low “Philly” highlight some of the biggest special edition drops on the horizon.
