A simplistic look throws it back to the late 90s.

A “Sequoia” Nike Dunk Low Pro B Sample Emerges Ahead Of 2025 Release

Even if they’re still a staple of streetwear in cities across the globe, the Nike Dunk Low is clearly in a lull, coming down from the meteoric highs it reached during the pandemic. Even if new releases aren’t sell-out events, Peter Moore’s design is one of the more storied in the Swoosh catalog, and Beaverton creatives are evidently set on acknowledging that history. A second Nike Dunk Low Pro B sample has just emerged in “Sequoia” that adds to a growing 2025 retro effort.

For the uninitiated, the Pro B was the “proto” Nike SB Dunk, bringing a fat tongue to the model in 1999, 3 years before it was more widely adopted. That change is reflected here in the 2025 version, as is the additional padding that made these a skater favorite far before a full subdivision in Oregon was formed around that market. @sbheadsbe, the collector who shared these images, indicated a noticeable step-up in material quality as well; buttery suede and a soft inner heel the chief improvements on this pair.

In contrast to the previously unveiled Pro B Dunk sample, the SB stamp does appear here, but cleverly appears white text on white fabric, tying it to the imprint while acknowledging how the model predated its formation entirely. Additionally, while the fat tongue harkens to the Pro B’s lineage, the interior tag refers to this shoe as the “Nike SB Dunk Low OG,” possibly illuminating how this retro effort will be labelled in 2025.

Further release info remains largely unclear, but we’ll surely get a better sense of both this edition and the full strategy as we get closer to next year. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page in the meantime.

Bringing it back to modernized pairs, the VERDY Nike SB Dunk Low “VISTY” and Nike Dunk Low “Philly” highlight the model’s upcoming launches.
