While Teddy Santis’ MADE in USA program stateside has led to a ton of hype around premium inline releases from the Boston company, England’s MADE in UK program has an even longer history of the same luxe material touches. A pack release under the sub-brand is on the horizon, publishing the New Balance 1500, New Balance 991v2 and now, the New Balance 576 with a “Vintage Sport” motif.
Consistent with its counterparts in this pack drop, a palette of off-white, red and navy paints the entire profile, though the application of those more colorful hits is most reserved on the 576. Only appearing on a midsole stripe and the tongue tag, the rest of the shoe is handled with a blend of grey, pure white and cream, presenting a familiarly tonal look that harkens to the looks NB has made its bones off of for decades now. Pigskin suede is the chief material upgrade that sets this edition apart from mainline 576, but the low-key running appeal of the model persists even amid those luxury touches.
The New Balance 576 MADE in UK “Vintage Sport” hits NewBalance.com and associated channels on June 20th, retailing for $230. Catch official images just ahead to get a full sense before launch.
Sticking with the Boston brand, the Stone Island New Balance 574 Legacy and Aimé Leon Dore New Balance 1000 in “White” highlight their upcoming collab drops.
