90’s Hornets Colors Paint The Air Jordan 1 Low SE

Retro fashion has once again left the 1990s in the past, but certain styles will always cut through what’s precisely on-trend. As low-cut silhouettes continue their takeover, the Air Jordan 1 Low is turning back the clock to exactly that period, cooking up a mixture of “Psychic Purple” & “Hyper Jade.”

While leather underlays do some tone setting at the base and orange “Cone” shading makes its presence felt on the tongue Jumpman branding, but those aforementioned trademark shades are the stars of the show. Aquamarine lands on the Swoosh and outsole, while amethyst handles the overlays and laces on this Jordan 1 Low.

Perhaps uncoincidentally, this combination makes our head go to Larry Johnson & Alonzo Mourning, but Jordan Brand themselves present some comparison points from the era; the OG Air Jordan 5 “Grape” and Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” chief among them. For those looking for a throwback look that’s a bit off the beaten path, look no further than this pair, and maybe try digging for a Grandmama jersey while you’re at it.

The Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Psychic Purple” lands this Fall, retailing for $125. Catch some official retailer shots just ahead.
