With the Opening Ceremony in Paris creeping closer and closer, we’re beginning to see the full scope of the Swoosh’s Olympic efforts. On top of high-heat drops like the return of the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” and the brand new Jordan 4 “Paris Olympics,” silhouettes far and wide are minting colorways for the occasion, including the solid-as-ever Air Force 1.
Those tapped into the newswire will recognize both the colorways and many of the smaller details across these two AF1s in “Phantom” and “Oil Green.” The exact same arrangements marked a set of Dunk Low releases announced in recent memory, creating a psuedo-pack and of course leaving room for additional Swoosh staples to join the mix. The pocked patterning remains in place, as do solar toe-box perpherations and a pronounced lace dubrae. The only true difference on these releases are just how comprehensively “Safari” print takes over the Air Force 1’s upper across both the emerald and elephant toned pairs.
Just the sheer amount of pairs that are emerging with this pattern (the Nike KD 17 “USA” and SB Dunk Low “Olympic” chief among them) illuminates that Paris will loom large over the full Nike catalog, not just a handful of special releases.
