Hyperice And Nike Unveil A Recovery Sneaker Boot That Massage Your Feet

Ever since power laces made their silver screen debut in 1986’s Back To The Future II with the Nike Mag, the Swoosh has been dabbling in wearable tech with practical services that include hands-free lacing and tracking burned calories. In collaboration with recovery tech brand Hyperice, Nike unveils two incredible pieces of gear that have true everyday use for athletes of all levels.

The Nike Hyperice Boot is a high-top sneaker/boot that can massage your feet on demand. Using a system of dual-air Normatec bladders bonded to warming elements, the Nike Hyperice Boot can send heat deep into the tissue and ankle. The shoes feature three levels of compression and both left and right shoe can be synchronized or have individual massage levels. A battery inside the insole powers the unit. Earlier this month, LeBron James posted a video on his Instagram Stories, putting the Nike Hyperice Boot to the test.

In addition to the boot, Nike and Hyperice unveil a wearable vest that offers cooling and heating without the need of liquid or ice. The vest assists in the warm-up/recovery aspect of exercise through state-of-the-art on-demand temperature control via thermoelectric coolers that can autonomously sense, monitor, and control body temperatures. Air bladders are embedded inside the vest to apply pressure to enhance the warming/cooling sensation.

After testing the shoes and the vest a year ago, LeBron James states: “From the moment I tried the Nike x Hyperice boots and vest while they were still in development more than a year ago, I knew they were going to change the game for athletes’ warm-up and recovery.”

Nike has not announced a firm release, but confirm that both the boot and the vest will be available at a later date.
