“Cyber” & “Khaki” Duel Atop The Nike Air Max Plus Drift

The chunky, TPU-heavy aesthetics of the Air Max Plus Drift continue to make the model an eye-catching silhouette as it marches on in its rookie season. As it begins to carve out its own aesthetic territory in the catalog, successive editions like the upcoming “Cyber” colorway elucidate what we can expect from the model moving forward.

A front-to-back gradient again serves as the hinge point on this design, rotating the vertical ombre of the Air Max Plus proper and taking the shoe from “Baltic Blue” at the toe to titular “Cyber” at the quarter. Overall, those vibrant tones and the earthy neutrals elsewhere may not be entirely color wheel complementary but conceptually it’s synergistic. The naturalistic tones on the foundation drive home the intention of the forest-like hues up top.

Importantly, the “Drift” sub-species that was understood as a simple spin off amid the Air Max Plus’ 25th anniversary has now doubled in size. The Air Max 90 Drift is awaiting its public debut, but early returns are encouraging ahead of its true release, potentially opening the door for additional retakes of other beloved Air Max members.
