New Zealand’s “All Blacks” aren’t just national treasures, they aren’t just the winningest team in the history of rugby, they’re one of the biggest successes in the history of organized sports. And for the past 25 years, adidas has been there through their many successes, kitting the team since 1999. With the start of the 2024 Rugby Championship on the horizon, adidas took the chance to commemorate their silver anniversary with a lifestyle collection including the adidas Gazelle.

True to the prompt, the New Zealand squad’s titular jet black is the dominant tonality here, engulfing the suede & leather upper almost entirely. It continues through the interior and the sole unit, with just the metallic silver accents that crop up throughout the profile interrupting that design. The Trefoil and the All Blacks’ fern present co-branding details on the tongue and heel, respectively, while their quarter century together is proudly displayed on the insole.

Alongside this shoe, adidas unveiled the new official on-pitch jersey, its replica fan edition, and a full lifestyle collection. The new jerseys are expected to be front-and-center for this years’ 2024 Rugby Championship, which kicks off on August 10th.
