Sneaker News Updated July 12th, 2024: Great news regarding the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “UNC Reimagined” releasing in 2025; according to @zsneakerheadz, the shoes will arrive pre-aged similar to the Air Jordan 1 “Lost & Found”. Jordan Brand is poised and ready for a massive comeback year in 2025. Adding to the already robust list of drops, we’re now learning of an upcoming Air Jordan 1 “UNC Reimagined” set to touch down next Summer.
The Reimagined series by Jordan focuses on reviving a classic, original colorway with a new twist. Thus far, we’ve seen the most iconic pairs ever get “Reimagined” with new materials, but all have paled in comparison to the aged execution seen in the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement Reimagined” and the Air Jordan 1 “Lost And Found”.
That said, it is entirely unclear what to expect with the “UNC Reimagined” Air Jordan 1. Jordan Brand could go in any direction with this release, although the widest embrace will come if the brand employs the vintage aesthetic once more considering the last retro arrived back in 2015 (pictured above). According to @zsneakerheadz, the official color specifications are Dark Powder Blue/Dark Powder Blue/Sail.

A Brief History Of The Reimagined Series
The Reimagined series was introduced by Jordan Brand back in 2021 with the idea of “reimagining” of an original, iconic Air Jordan of the past with new materials. The first official “Reimagined” release is the Air Jordan 1 “Patent Bred” from December of 2021, which changed out the original leather for a glossy patent leather. The following releases followed the same direction–re-deliver an oG colorway with a twist.

- Air Jordan 1 “Patent Bred” (December 2021) The first “Reimagined release came in 2021; the original Black/Red colorway was released with full patent leather uppers.

- Air Jordan 1 “Lost & Found” (November 2022) The second “Reimagined” release introduced the aged concept. It is also the only release with a specific nickname tied to a backstory.
