Andrew Rizzo Having collaborated with adidas on several projects throughout the years, gaming franchise XBOX now takes its hallmarks to a friendly ally in BAPE, set to deliver a collaborative capsule consisting of apparel, accessories, and for our purposes, a gaming-inspired Roadsta colorway.
Drawing from the digital space, the collection revolves around the unmistakable XBOX green color and a three-dimensional, wavy meander. The Roadsta features a futuristic black and white pattern atop a predominantly black base, complete with XBOX logos and green piping around the eyelets and star logo. The brand’s slogan of “Power Your Dreams” appears multiple times on the lateral and medial sides, while a co-branded heel completes the top half. Green cushioning chambers spruce up a white midsole underfoot, while a black outsole extends upwards towards the toe to round out the design.
The XBOX x BAPE collection will release in limited quantities on July 13th at A BATHING APE stores and bape.com. Pricing is still pending, but sneakerheads should expect a slight markup from the Roadsta’s typical $309 mark given the third-party influence here.
