Coffee Lovers Will Enjoy This New Balance 998 Made In USA

A dressed-up look for the premium runner turned lifestyle shoe.

Coffee Lovers Will Enjoy This New Balance 998 Made In USA

New Balance aficionados have their eyes on Teddy Santis as the Made In USA FW24 lineup continues to get teased on social media, but for all those riddled with impatience, there’s a compelling one-off release on the horizon.

Following an applaudable 2023 for the Made In USA model, it’s fair to say the New Balance 998 has wholly returned to the Boston brand’s mainline slate, as both “Core” and Teddy Santis-designed colorways are readily available online. Perfectly suited for autumn, this latest pair sports colors and materials you might expect out of a Made In UK New Balance shoe, which often skew towards dressed-up, contemporary aesthetics. The quarter, tongue, and various heel panels come crafted out of premium black leather, while brown suede, mesh, and a “Sea Salt” midsole fulfill a classy arrangement. Further elevating the design, the New Balance logo ditches reflective material for grey leather.

The New Balance 998 Made In USA “Black/Sea Salt/Brown” drops July 18th, 2024 for $220 in unisex sizing, a slight price hike given the shoe’s premium leather. If these are on your list, return to our “Where To Buy” section below for shopping links upon the release date.
