Sneaker News Whhen A Ma Maniere gets its hand on a sneaker, the world pays attention. From conjuring a design concept to selecting the materials and colorways, the boutique retailer has exhibited an unmatched taste therough their storied partnership with Jordan Brand. This August, that union continues to flex its muscles with the Air Jordan 3 Retro, seen here via official Nike images.
Once again, AMM relies on the elegant palette of Violet Ore, applying that muted purple shade to perforated suede panels that accent the all-black tumbled leather upper. A Flat Pewter grey appears on the hairy suede panels that daringly replace the iconic elephant print, and a yellowed tint on the midsole once again figures into the aged aesthetic that has been a common theme through several AMM x Air Jordan collabs. The construction of the Air Jordan 3 has also been refined, with a deconstructed execution resulting in pinched ankle collars and tongues for a more form-fitting appearance.
In addition to the shoes, A Ma Maniere applies a series of hang-tags to the shoes — their customary brand label and the 1988-inspired plastic hang-tag colored in Violet Ore. The shoes will be attached to a plush cloth/scarf in dark burgundy, while the special-edition shoe-box calls out to the Whitaker Group retail imprint’s tenth anniversary. The upcoming Maniere Jordan 4 is likely part of this milestone celebration as well.
