Sneaker News The Transformers franchise stands as a core memory for kids of all generations. Whether you watched the earliest cartoons and played with the simplest of action figures, or fell in love with the franchise through its blockbuster movies, Transformers is undeniably a piece of American culture for all ages. It’s becoming a regular occurrence in which classic animated characters are linking with footwear brands to hit on the energy surrounding San Diego Comic Con. In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Transformers, Hasbro has linked up with Converse to transform Autobots and Decepticons into a collection of wearable robots. Let’s take a look below.
This collaborative collection is meant for all ages as sizes will be available for adult men all the way down to infants. Starting off is the All Star BB Shift CX, the brands most advanced basketball shoe, decorated in yellow/black ostensibly inspired by the earliest iteration of the black/yellow car. Next is a set of adult Chuck Taylor All Stars, each possessing the spirit of the Autobots (in red/black) and the Decepticons (in silver). Both pairs come with unique rubberized hang-tags of each side’s chief weapon. As stated earlier, Converse also has some pairs in Youth and Infants sizes — both of which hit on a retro thematic with images of the earlier animations.
