Kith Honors Marvel 85th Anniversary With Their ASICS Collection On August 9th

An ode to the greatest villains in comic-book history.

Kith’s adoration of Marvel heroes comes to a head once again with its latest capsule in honor of the 85th Anniversary of the legendary institution, only this time around, the focus is on the most lovable villains of all-time. This August 8th, the New York-based retailer will officially launch its five-shoe collection inspired by the greatest to ever grace the cover of a comic-book.

First teased just days before San Diego Comic Con, the Kith x Marvel x ASICS 85th Anniversary Collection is a five-shoe capsule that includes the ASICS GT-2160 and one lone GEL-Kayano 14. Spider-Man, Venom, Green Goblin, Magneto, and Silver Surfer grace each silhouette in their own comic-appropriate colorways, each packaged with insoles featuring archival illustrations. Alternating branding featuring Marvel and Kith are placed at the heels.

Each pair will come attached with a unique comic book, each with varying levels of rariity and officially authenticated by PSA. Despite its various projects with Marvel (including their X-Men 60th Anniversary release last year), this marks the first-ever authenticated comic-book by Kith.

Spider-Man and Venom are actually a conjoined two-pair package, highlighting one of the foremost rivalries in the history of Marvel. The remaining three versions (Green Goblin, Magneto, Silver Surfer) will release as solo pairs.

The entire Kith x Marvel 85th Anniversary Collection with ASICS releases exclusively at Kith on August 9th, 2024. It’ll be available in-store at all Kith locations and online at 11 AM ET at all of the shop’s online stores and the Kith App.
