After a cool-off period where the Book 1 was largely absent from the sneaker newswire, Devin Booker’s current Olympic tenure has coincided with a renewed flow of fresh colorways. Adding to the “Beyond Pink” and “Court Purple” pairs set to land later this year, one of his personal pairs is set to hit the market as the Nike Book 1 “All-Star” is rumored to release Summer 2025.
This colorway calls back to the 1995 festivities hosted in Phoenix, drawing connections to the mid-season classic and his current residence in Arizona. As titans like Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley went to war on the court, they do so in a set of quintessentially 1990s threads, jerseys that have become true cult classics in the years since.
This pair reflects their design rather faithfully; the star designs that ran down the front of each jersey appear at the heel counter, their typography is reflected with Book’s #1 towards the forefoot, and the cactus logo that represented the ’95 game relays its aquamarine tonality on the laces and outlining the Swoosh.
While the Nike Book 1 has managed sell-outs in more than half of its releases so far, a frequent complaints levied against the silhouette and those behind its colorways is the imbalance between the styles Booker himself wears and those released to the public. “Metallic Purple” and “Neon” editions are regularly referenced in comment sections for upcoming GR colorways, so perhaps digging into Devin’s personal archives will satisfy that contingent.
According to @brandon1an on X, the Nike Book 1 “All-Star” is currently expected to launch Summer 2025. Retail is reportedly set at $150. Below you can catch an image of the pair rocked by Booker himself from the 2024 All-Star Weekend showcasing the design which is expected to hold for this public release.
