Stand up, Toronto. Nike is releasing a special Air Max 95 for The Six in the near future, reprising a “City Pack” that’s expected to trickle out well into 2025.
The Air Max 95 will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, and Nike has expectedly pulled out all the stops to shine a light on the Sergio Lozano-designed icon. There’s an SB Air Max 95 on the horizon, new general release colorways have begun surfacing with greater frequency, and back in May, an “Atlanta” Air Max 95 kicked off what’s sure to be an applaudable world tour.
Right off the bat, the AM95 “Toronto” strikes a must-have for local sneakerheads. Eyes are first drawn to the lower half of the sidewalls, which feature a soothing gradient that transitions from red near the forefoot to blue towards the heel. Perhaps it’s meant to allude the Toronto skyline, but the treatment also lends a nod to the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays all the same. We’re also getting an Air Max 98 “Gundam” vibe from the similar, blue, red, and black/white mix.
The upper also features a healthy dose of reflective material, with reflective piping running along the sides and more hits on the laces, eyelets, and backtab for added flair. Red air bubbles settle into an all-black midsole, while the center portion of the outsole sports the same red/blue gradient seen above. Perhaps the most notable detail, however, exists on the tongue. The left and right shoes read “West End” and “East End,” respectively, pointing out the capital city’s two main districts. The shoes also come with traditional Air Max 95 logos that you can attach to the velcro tongue, and an insole graphic reading “Valid For Toronto” makes for clear significance.
The aforementioned Air Max 95 “Atlanta” was first released at select local boutiques before hitting Nike SNKRS at a later date, so it’s likely the “Toronto” colorway will follow a similar drop procedure. We’re still waiting on firm release details at the time of this writing, but know that this page as well as our Sneaker Release Dates hub will be kept current with all the latest available info.
