With retro athletic wear continuing to be the foremost in trends in 2024, Nike is leaning even further in that direction by drawing up plays for its most prized icons of the 1980s and 1990s. Bo Jackson’s Nike Air Trainer SC High, a defining cross-trainer of that era, is officially back in Fall wearing Raiders “Away” colors for the occasion — right on time as the football season gets ready to kick off.
Whether the franchise is situated in Los Angeles, Oakland, or Las Vegas, the Raiders’ pirate logo and colors stands as one of the most iconic in NFL history. Much has to do with the stardom and fan appeal of Bo Jackson, the dual-sport phenom who was arguably the most important endorser of the Swoosh next to Michael Jordan himself.
While the Air Trainer SC High was never officially dubbed a Bo Jackson signature shoe, the model was pretty much his own. Throughout the years, we’ve seen plenty of black/grey/white takes on the model in an apparent allusion to the Raiders colors; fans in 2024 will be treated with an “Away” execution via the White upper, Light Smoke Grey accents, and Black finishing touches.
