Nike’s EYBL Academy has brought a ton of exclusive colorways to light over the past week and change, including standout looks like the EYBL Sabrina 2 and EYBL Kobe 8. It’s uncertain the Air Jordan 11 Low IE “EYBL” that just hit the newswire is from the same class, but it’s abundantly clear that it carries a colorway that’s just as striking.
Canvas rather than leather is the choice for the mudguard, still encircling the shoe in similar fashion to the model’s mainline Jordan 11 Low sibling. The true draw, however, is the gradient underfoot, taking the rubber outsole from similarly toned pale green to a gum-like hue at the forefoot. A final commemorative touch comes with embroidered hang & tongue tags that bears EYBL branding, reminding the wearer of the hoops roots at the center of this shoe.
While EYBL Nike footwear has been a yearly staple for over a decade, the introduction of Jordan Brand product is a pretty new development. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG edition minted in 2022 marked one of the first instances, and it seems that the youth participants will get the chance to scoop some one-of-a-kind retros moving forward.
Importantly, official EYBL channels have posted all of the Basketball Academy editions from this year, potentially ruling this out as a 2024 product. This pair’s aesthetic bonafides remain regardless of when they when they were minted, though- check out some in-hand shots of this Air Jordan 11 IE “EYBL” PE just ahead.
