UNC Football Flaunts An Air Jordan 1 Low Cleat PE

College football is set to kick off in just a few short weeks, and for our purposes, the start of a new season always brings new player edition cleats into focus. We can expect to see Jordan Brand treat several of its sponsored teams to special footwear as we delve deeper into the schedule, but for now, all eyes are on UNC. We glimpsed a Jordan 3 “UNC” cleat earlier this month, and now new images posted by the team Instagram account unveil a Jordan 1 Low cleat of the same distinction.

While UNC Football wasn’t the first squad to ink a deal with Jordan Brand, it was at one point the only football team to receive Air Jordan PEs. Athletes have been gifted several pairs since Jordan Brand broadened its longstanding partnership with UNC to include football in 2017, most of which command headline-worthy attention despite never gracing our Jordan Release Dates calendar.

The Jordan 1 Low “UNC” cleat itself comes with hallmark “University Blue” overlays, with the rear portion sporting distressed, pre-worn treatments. You’ll need to make the roster to get your hands on a pair, but if you’re also suiting up for football in the near future, several general release colorways of the model are available now via Nike.
