The adidas Dame 9 rollout will be a bit different than that of most signature basketball shoes. Most shoes in general as a matter of fact. In lieu of general release options, the next Damian Lillard shoe will first arrive by way of a BAPE collaboration on August 31st, with two colorways en route for the occasion.

This isn’t the first time BAPE has touched up Dame’s signature kicks; the adidas Dame 4 got decked out in camo print and shark tooth graphics once upon a time, but only after the model was already on the market for a couple months. In any case, fusing performance basketball specs with iconic streetwear insignias is a surefire way to draw eyes to Dame’s latest signature upon its arrival.

Two colorways are on tap for August 31st, both of which unsurprisingly put BAPE hallmarks on full display. One strikes a familiar note with olive green camo, while the other opts for a similar yet more conservative red camo mix. Both pairs come with black midsoles and inner liners, and naturally, gold adidas and BAPE branding dots the tongue and heel, respectively. There’s also a red, white, and blue “Olympic” Dame 9, but that pair is reportedly only for friends & family.

Price information hasn’t been disclosed at the time of this writing, but interested parties can expect an MSRP slightly over the model’s standard $120 mark. See official images of both options below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming deliveries by the Three Stripes.
