Nike is clearly aware of the stakes, as Deion Sanders’ shoes are getting a major push as we look ahead to CFB Saturdays, continuing with the Nike Air DT Max ’96 “Colorado Away.”
A flip of the “Colorado Home” colorway set to arrive on September 2nd, this pair reflects the Buffaloes’ road gear rather faithfully. White leather lands on the top half, the claw-like cut-outs revealing gilded panels underneath, accented by black detailing on branding throughout the shoe. Though the expressive design language of the DT Max ’96 very much succeed in this cleaned-up colorway, it places some more emphasis on the finer details. A throwback “Diamond Logo” emblem appears on the insole, and Sanders’ actual face peeks through in the underfoot Air Bubble (a detail revealed when Sanders teased this exact pair in May.)
