Updated October 15th, 2024: Official images have just landed of the Nike Ja 2 “Halloween,” confirming most of the aspects we had caught in the shoe’s initial retail reveal. The highlights of this design remain the ghoulish hands at the heel, asymmetrical eyes in that same section and a claw design running throughout the lateral sides.
The Nike Ja 2 is set to release on October 25th, retailing at $130.

Following a longer-than-usual 1.5 year wait since the release of the first Ja Morant signature shoe, the Nike Ja 2 is finally poised to hit shelves this fall. First previewed earlier this month, official retailer images of the Ja 2 “Halloween” just landed ahead of the shoe’s October 25th arrival.
Consistent with our first look, the gallery showcases a predominantly red and black shoe with special holiday-inspired detailing. Officially dubbed the “Nightmare” colorway in lockstep with a Halloween-themed Ja 1 from last year, the shoe features claw-like detailing on the quarter, the hands of zombies rising from the dead on the heel, and stitched eyeballs up near the top portion of the back panel. The Swoosh logos appear in gold, but the tongue branding and eye graphics swap between silver and gold on the left and right shoes respectively, as is standard practice for Ja Morant shoes. Additionally, the shoes also come with metallic silver lace dubraes that read “Morant” in horror-inspired typography.
Nike hasn’t gone public with performance specs yet, but that will change in the very near future as the model creeps closer to release. For now, enjoy official retailer images of the Nike Ja 2 “Halloween” aka “Nightmare” below and mark your calendar for the shoe’s release on October 25th, 2024, right on time for spooky season.
