The forgotten 2021 colorway makes a return.

Look Familiar? Jordan Brand Repurposes An Air Jordan 1 Of The Past For Golf

While it’s not unheard of for the Jumpman to touch base with the original 1985 colorways for modern Air Jordan 1 interpretations, it’s not often that the brand selects an obscure and relatively overlooked pair for future reasons. Case in point: the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High Golf featuring a colorway of the Retro High OG during the first winter of the global lockdown.

Originally dropping in January of 2021, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG hit retail wearing a white, black, volt green, and university gold colorway. Above the eclectic assortment of colors, Jordan Brand utilized a nylon-like material on the upper with a uncommon piping around the ankle collar and a tongue label flipped inside out and made translucent. Certainly an oddball of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG family, the colorway appears on the Air Jordan 1 High Golf, giving sneakerheads a taste of what perhaps should have been.

Sporting a golf-ready traction on the outsole, this Air Jordan 1 iteration copies the colorway, but sticks to the all-leather build that ’85 maniacs have come to adore. If you do in fact hit the links every weekend, you can find these on Nike.com soon for $180. The exact date will be updated soon on our Jordan Release Dates page.
