Nike Inc. has never been entirely above rehashing or referencing venerated colorways via lower-heat releases. See the “Black Cat” fever started with the Air Jordan 4, then reprised with similar “Black Cat” Jordan 1 Low or “Black Cat” Jordan 4 RM releases set to hit shelves soon. It may not be as full an embrace as those pairs, but the Nike Dunk Low is set to reach into its beloved archives this Fall, minting a “Denim Turquoise” colorway that calls to mind one of the most coveted sneakers of all time.

Simply put, any pair with a base of aquamarine will warrant comparisons to Tiffany Dunks, but this colorway does well to put enough separation between it and that beloved drop. Vintage green leather overlays are one piece of that equation, but an all-black contrast sole and Swoosh further accomplish it.

Additionally, the leather on the base layer is instead swapped to durable ripstop material, dotted with diamond-shaped grids that run from heel to toe.
