Andrew Rizzo We’ve spilled plenty of ink on anime and superhero Crocs Collaborations in recent months, but this latest trio is for horror junkies. Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Pennywise are all getting their very own all-terrain clogs, each of which comes decked out in unmistakable character hallmarks. Fittingly, all three pairs are set to release on Friday the 13th (September 13th).
Kicking things off with the Nightmare on Elm Street antagonist, Freddy Krueger’s pair comes with his iconic red and green sweater pattern up top and gory red detailing on the sides. Included is a Jibbitz charm of Freddy’s hat, signs for Elm Street and Springwood High School, a graphic reading “Ready Or Not Here I Come,” and a huge charm with three scythes. Notably, Crocs does what Nike failed to do here; create an officially licensed Freddy Krueger shoe.
The Freddy vs. Jason mash-up movie from 2003 seems like an appropriate transition. The Camp Crystal Lake Killer sees a splattered red, black, and cream mix drape his pair, complete with six charms including a bloodied knife and his infamous hockey goalie mask. Last but not least, Stephen King’s monstrous gutter clown Pennywise suits up in a red and white clog to match his makeup. Clown noses are attached to the heel strap, and Jibbitz charms include a paper boat, “I Heart Derry” graphic, and floating red balloon, letting you know there’s danger about.
