New Balance 990v6 “Rich Oak” Arrives In September

A natural addition to NB's Fall offerings.

New Balance 990v6 “Rich Oak” Arrives In September

After a few months of high anticipation, Teddy Santis’ New Balance MADE in USA Fall/Winter 2024 is finally upon us. Following a full unveil and three initial releases shortly after, we’re getting into the bulk of the upcoming slate, now highlighted by the newcomer New Balance 990v6 in “Rich Oak.”

The shoe begins with rather expected notes; the wavy midsole unit is decked out in cream, black and pure white, tones matched on the sockliner, branding and laces. Towards the center, the everlasting combo of mesh, leather & pigskin suede reflects trademark NB tonality of “Rich Oak” brown, beige and dark grey. The touch that truly sets this pair over the top, though, is when “Cosmic Grape” enters the mix, cladding the medial branding and the upper eyestay.

Overall, this shoe touches on an amenable middle ground between totally refined and playful, injecting a daily driver option into the premium Santis’ growing capsule. To that end, this revives an off-kilter blend of tones last touched upon with the MiU New Balance 990v2 for last year’s festivities.

The New Balance 990v6 “Rich Oak” arrives on September 19th, carrying a $220 MSRP. Get ready for the drop with official images, included in the gallery ahead.
