Jarritos Celebrates Its Birthday With A Nike SB Dunk Low Custom Giveaway

The beverage company enlists some help to revisit their 2023 collab.

Jarritos Celebrates Its Birthday With A Nike SB Dunk Low Custom Giveaway

Jarritos just checked off a major accomplishment, celebrating 74 years in business. During their 73rd, they minted a Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration that even amid some fatigue around the model, truly captured sneakerhead attention – pairs are still going for triple their retail value on the grey market. They’re looking back on that seminal drop for the occasion, announcing a giveaway of 6 custom pairs built on the Jarritos Dunks (you can enter using this link.)

On tap to celebrate 74 years is a genuine murderer’s row of customs artists: @andu.c, @ant.kai, @chefhuyle, @dmcustomsneakers, @nobrainer.psd & @nnolcajete, each well familiar with handcrafted takes on Peter Moore’s design. While it’s clear that the aesthetics of the 2023 release are the foundation of each of these designs, the half dozen artists all venture in different directions from that same starting point.

Notably, DeMarco Custom’s rainbow edition makes the furthest jump from that neutral base, while the rest create a natural gradient through the company’s trademark orange & green. Across the full collection, the “Flavored by Culture” concept is readily apparent. Vibrant patterns inspired by Dia De Los Muertos, paisley and P. Rod-esque mexican blankets stand front and center while each creative still manages to adapt their signature styles.

As mentioned towards the top, the Jarritos giveaway for each of these pairs is open to the public now to US residents. Get your entries in here before September 16th. Do check out some official shots of each of the six pairs included below, while the Jarritos celebration obviously takes precedence it’s also a chance to note the true creativity of all the artists involved.
