Sneaker News The Nike Kobe 6 Protro, arguably the most-wanted basketball shoe on the market, is going through a major transformation when it returns to stores in February 2025. Originally believed to be a simple Sail/Black two-toned colorway of the sixth model, this first look reveals a huge change on the upper’s snakeskin-inspired TPU exterior.
The first look image reveals that Nike has added a starry pattern on the raised TPU layer on the Kobe 6 Protro, replacing the conventional mamba-snake pattern that’s seen across the entire upper. However, Nike didn’t get rid of it completely; the warped, star-laden textile gradually morphs into the original snake from the lateral to the medial side.
