Nike Pushes An Aged Look With This Air Force 1 “Since 1982”

A colorway that hits on the model's very first releases.

Nike Pushes An Aged Look With This Air Force 1 “Since 1982”

Faux-vintage remains a dominant force in footwear, with off-white soles a frequent choice on the likes of the Nike Dunk Low, New Balance 1906R, and really every silo that’s tackled a trendy look. There’s nothing “faux” about what Nike is tackling now on the Nike Air Force 1, imbuing a true sense of aging alongside some nods to their storied history of the silo.

To that end, the tongue tag bears the shoe’s “Since ’82” moniker, stamping the year Bruce Kilgore’s design first hit the market. Obviously the model has been rolled out in countless looks since, but this one keeps things relatively simple, hitting on a more refined atmosphere with premium-like tanned leathers throughout the upper. A classic gum outsole and an all-white midsole rounds out this outfit underfoot, while sun-bleached detailing on the tongue close out the “fine vintage” motif communicated all-over with this pair.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Since 1982” drops this Fall/Winter with a $125 retail price. As always, our Sneaker Release Dates page will keep you current with further updates as we near this pair’s launch.
