Nike Keeps It Simple With The Latest Giannis Freak 6

A monochromatic delivery as the Freak 6 continues its debut.

Nike Keeps It Simple With The Latest Giannis Freak 6

As the NBA season draws closer, the Giannis Antetokounmpo will look to add a second championship to what’s already a Hall of Fame resume, but we didn’t have to wait for the opening tip for his latest signature. His Giannis Freak 6 crashed in with the “Naija,” “Roses” and “Heritage” colorways over the past few months, joined by a group of “Team Bank” looks shortly after. It’s unclear which side, commemorative or simplistic, the latest edition falls into, but we’re awaiting its release this Fall/Winter all the same.

It’s an easily digestible look on tap this time, keeping to a staid jet black composition up top, an all-white midsole and grey branding square in the middle. As we’ve seen with the KD 17 “Team Bank” and Ja 1 “Team Bank” collections, this monochromatic outfit is a frequent choice in the Nike Basketball canon, leaving the door open to this being a leftover edition from the earlier drop.

Regardless of the story behind this colorway, the bonafides of the Giannis Freak 6 persists in this pair all the same. Freshly updated herringbone traction and Nike’s latest midsole tech in the Cushlon & Air Zoom combination underfoot ensures that you’ll be able to replicate the Greek Freak’s playstyle in your own runs.

Look for the Nike Giannis Freak 6 in black & white in the coming weeks via Nike.com and at retailers. While a retail price isn’t confirmed, expect MRSP in the $150 – $160 range.
