While it doesn’t fit tech runner standards to a T, the New Balance 9060 has no doubt been a major benefactor of consumers trending towards runners once again. That backwards-facing aesthetic has always brought vintage aesthetics right alongside it. Though typically predisposed to more colorful fare, the New Balance 9060 doesn’t struggle one bit taking on that concept, showcasing its talents once again with the just released “Calcium” colorway.

Off-white and grey, an always reliable combination for the Boston brand, sets up the base for this shoe on the plush mesha nd topmost leather swatches. However, the soft yellow “Calcium” that lends these their title is the true show-stealer, adding complementary sprightly energy in the curvilinear leather patches in between. A jet black outsole and a dose of “Mash Green” on the asymmetrical N branding at the forefoot bring some seasonal spirit in the margins, but the point remains- this is a true evergreen pair, due in no small part to its pitch-perfect embrace of current footwear trends.
