Earlier this year, Sneaker News exclusively revealed the sneakers releasing as part of the 2024 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle collection. Of the six silhouettes was the Air Jordan 6, the first new design since 2009’s creation by Jordan Dark. The 2024 version adds a girls-friendly approach as it gathers pastel tones and heart-shaped detailing for a completely new look and feel.
As mentioned above, the upcoming Air Jordan 6 Doernbecher is comprised of a white, pink, light blue, and soft green color palette that reflects an Easter-friendly concept. The customary perforations that dot the leather uppers have been replaced by heart-shaped cut-outs as well, while metallic appliques appear at the mid-foot eyelet, lace-lock, and heel “spoiler”. A closer inspection also reveals lettering in cursive at the toe; it is possible that it spells out the child patient designer’s name.
The official unveil of the Nike Doernbecher 2024 collection has been confirmed to be October 18th, 2024; a retail release of the collection has not yet been disclosed. Alongside the Air Jordan 6 is the Air Max Sunder, Air Pegasus 41, Air 180, and two colorways of the Air Max Dn. First looks at the remaining five models are likely to surface in the coming weeks.
