Can you ever really go wrong with a pair of Air Max 90s? Though the Nike Air Max Plus and Air Max Dn have superseded the silhouette in terms of sheer quantity of colorways, Tinker Hatfield’s design has been metronome-like through 2024, often iterating on the timeless “Infrared” color-blocking. It might not be a beat for beat replication, but the “Light Olive” colorway on tap here very much lives in that same world.
As promised in its title, “Light Olive” clearly takes the lead for this shoe, draping the heel tab and eye stays on top of surrounding the visible Air unit in the midsole. The heavy impact that greys have on this edition allows it tap into an OG-style atmosphere, but a refurbishment with a complementary blend of “Light Bone,” “Cave Stone,” “College Grey” and “Off Noir” furthers the seasonal lean of the shoe overall. While recently announced pairs like 2025’s Air Max 90 “Escape” or Patta Air Max 90 might take the cake in terms of release heat, the classics are classics for a reason, and sliding a pair like this into the rotation as we get into the bulk of fall is a no brainer.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Light Olive” drops this F/W in men’s sizing, retailing at $130. Check the gallery embedded just below for a closer look at official images.
