Matt Varga Earlier this year, the Boston brand made headlines via the Reebok Alien collection, revitalizing one of the most iconic on-screen shoes to celebrate the franchise’s latest chapter. As we careen into peak “spooky SZN,” Reebok is keeping to a similar horror script, but reaching back to an ever more classic canon for a synergistic Halloween collection.
The core five characters from the Universal Monsters universe pair up with a slew of mainstay silhouettes, beginning with the “Frankenstein” Reebok Pump Tz, clad primarily in pale off-white. Mary Shelley’s creation and his sewn appearance lends visible stitching up and down the heel counter and collar, while distressed detailing drives home the uncanny vibe this shoe taps into. The Monster’s bride also makes an appearance on the Club C Megacourt, a platformed version of the lifestyle staple that goes “Triple Black” with the same stitched accents and an exposed foam tongue.
Easily the most eye-catching style crops up via the Creature From The Black Lagoon’s Instapump Fury, with marsh-like camo print draping the entire sneaker and sheer olive panelling over top. To close out, Dracula takes on the BB-4000 Low and the Wolfman grabs the Club C Bulc, still carrying the requisite character references but executing everyday style within the bounds of Halloween wear.
