If it ain’t broke, don’t think once about fixing it. That’s been the strategy for this sudden uprise of Nike Shox releases, because the brand’s been basking in the popularity of this gimmicky technology that dominated Nike’s innovative aspirations of the early 2000s.
Back again, alongside the recently revealed comebacks of the “Racer Blue” and “University Red” of the Shox TL, is this new-age “Thunderstorm” colorway that debuted roughly half a decade ago. Possibly concocted with Seattle Seahawks fans in mind, this iteration takes on a blue-ish grey “Thunderstorm” on the lightweight overlay with punches of electric volt green on the Swoosh and sole plate that sits above the Shox columns. A strong black occurs throughout the sole as well as the interior lining and tongue to finish off that Seahawks Home appeal.
Again, the entire range of Shox is having quite a moment, and it doing so with zero hype and marketing around it shows that sometimes demand can be generated by the perfect combination of timing and nostalgia.
Retailers are beginning to stock these now for $170, so stay tuned for updates in regards to an arrival on Nike.com.
