Largely due to a Reese Forbes collab and limited sportswear releases, denim Nike Dunks used to be revered in the 2000s. Now two decades later, the texture change has been explored at length as oversaturation has caused consumer interest to cool significantly. While denim Dunks might not be as special or sought-after as they once were, fans of the aesthetic surely aren’t complaining about an easy cop. If you count yourself among them, you’ll be happy to hear Nike has a fresh low-top pair dropping next year.
Official images reveal a full denim twill upper, with the lined material spanning both the base and overlay sections. Nike refers to the light indigo shade seen here as “Ghost,” with that shade appearing on the overlays, outsole, lining, and laces. Meanwhile, the toe box, quarter, and collar sections all sport “Platinum Tint.” Perhaps more intriguing than the fabrics utilized here is the Swoosh; the logo is cut out from both profiles, removing material from the rear overlay section in the process. Maintaining focus on that section, the underlay portion appears to be comprised of “Summit White” suede.
The denim Dunk Low “Ghost/Summit White/Platinum Tint” doesn’t have a firm release date yet, but current indications suggest a Spring 2025 arrival for $115. See official images below if you’re considering adding a pair to your rotation.
